Advisory Board

Medical and Clinical Governance

Our advisory board exists for one reason: to hold the clinical quality of our testing and exercise prescription to the highest standard. These are oversight and governance roles — our advisors don't take over patient care, and we're not a primary-care practice. Every client keeps their own GP and treating specialists at the centre of their care, and we report back to them at each review.

Dr Colin Coward

Dr Colin Coward

Clinical Advisory Board · Medical Advisor (MA/BM BCh Oxon, MRCGP, FRACGP)

Dr Colin Coward sits on O2 Active's clinical advisory board as our Medical Advisor — an oversight role, not a treating one. A general practitioner who holds a first-class Physiological Sciences degree and a Medicine degree from the University of Oxford, Colin has spent two decades in general practice across the UK and Australia, with a particular focus on preventative and longevity-focused care. He is Medical Lead at Signal Health, the Perth precision-medicine and longevity clinic we partner with. In his advisory capacity, Colin helps align our testing and exercise prescription with best-practice medical care and supports our clinical governance. He does not see O2 Active's clients as patients or replace a referring doctor: every client's own GP stays at the centre of their care. For referrers, his involvement is simply added assurance that exercise prescription here rests on sound medical foundations — and that we understand exactly where exercise physiology ends and medical care begins.
