Train your own exercise physiologist-written program on our clinic floor — $250 a month, after an initial assessment.

Open gym is for people who want to train independently, but not blindly. Every member starts with an initial assessment and leaves with a program written by their exercise physiologist — loads, reps, progressions and the exercises to swap if something flares. Membership then gives you access to the North Fremantle gym floor to work through it, with our team on the floor and a re-test to rebuild the program when it's time.
It sits between our supervised classes and a commercial gym: a quiet clinical floor, equipment chosen for progressive strength work, and a program that was built from your own numbers rather than a template. We cap the number of memberships so the floor stays calm and our team can keep the standard of care — it is never a crowded gym, and if places are full we'll add you to the waitlist.
An Initial Assessment — Exercise Physiology (from $150, around 60 minutes): history and goals, body composition, movement and strength testing.
Your EP writes your program from the assessment — implement, load, reps and progression rules, with substitutions for anything that needs working around.
Use the gym floor during open gym hours (see the North Fremantle live timetable) to work through your program at your own pace. Our team is on the floor if you need a hand with set-up or technique.
Re-testing at 12 weeks shows what moved; your program is rebuilt on the new numbers so you keep progressing.
$250 per month. Requires a current initial assessment and program with O2 Active. Membership numbers are limited.
Open gym is a membership for independent training on your own program; it is separate from our supervised clinical classes, which are run and coached by an exercise physiologist. Open gym hours are listed on the North Fremantle live timetable, which updates automatically, or ask reception.
Clients finishing a block of 1:1 sessions who are confident with their lifts and want to keep training on a program that's still being reviewed; people managing a stable condition who want a clinical floor rather than a commercial gym; and anyone who likes training independently but wants it built on measurement. If you're new to loading, have an injury that's still settling, or you prefer coaching every set, start with our supervised classes or 1:1 sessions and move to open gym when your EP says you're ready.
Every membership begins with an initial assessment and a program written for you.
