Active Ageing 


Exercise Right for Active Ageing is a national program designed for older Australian’s over the age of 65. Funding from the Australian Government’s “Move it AUS –Better Ageing Grants Program” subsidises an individual for up to 12 group exercise classes.

How O2 Active can help you:

  • O2 Active is running subsidised exercise classes aimed to help you move more – and safely
  • All classes are run by Accredited Exercise Physiologists who are qualified health and fitness professionals – we work with doctors and specialise in medical fitness and rehabilitation.
  • Our classes will help to improve your quality of life and overall health and wellbeing
  • Connect with like-minded people in a fun and friendly setting while improving your physical and mental health


The program is open to inactive Australian’s over 65 years old and Indigenous Australian’s over the age of 55. A pre-screening health assessment is mandatory prior to commencing the classes which can be completed as a private consultation with each person over the phone or via video.


    • $8.00 for each one hour in-person class
    • $6.00 for each 45 minute Telehealth class
    • $4.00 for each 30 minute Telehealth class and
    • $3.00 for each 20 minute Telehealth class

    The subsidies only apply to 12 classes regardless of the class length (time). Prices above inc GST.

Who runs the class?

Each class will be run by the O2 Active team (Accredited Exercise Physiologists) and will be taken at O2 Active’s gym in various Perth locations or via an approved Telehealth provider.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi can decrease anxiety and depression symptoms and improve cognition and can help manage symptoms of some chronic diseases, reduce bone loss in menopausal women and improves lower body and leg strength.


Yoga can have numerous benefits for people over the age of 50 when practiced correctly. Yoga can help promote better sleep habits, improve your strength and protect joints, reduce hypertension and help with chronic pain.

Core and Restore

This class focuses on stretching, breathing, and core work  and is designed to open out and release muscles and joints, alleviate soreness, work the connective tissue, build core strength and give your mind a  break


Our pilates classes are gentle and modifiable, making them the perfect class for almost anyone. Pilates increases strength, flexibility and endurance and can help improve mobility and assist in the prevention of falls.

Aqua Fit

Low-impact water workouts that build muscle strength, fitness and endurance.  The class can assist with joint problems, chronic pain and injury recovery.  Classes may extend before and after Summer pending weather conditions
